A routine trip to the dentist revealed there is a crown in my future and NOT the shiny type you wear on your head! I very quickly adapted an "Oh woe is me" attitude.
On the way home from my appointment I stopped by Joann's and picked up the latest issue of Mollie Makes thinking I'd bury my sorrow in it's pages.
Since it's near impossible for me to have a good read without a cuppa at my side I put the kettle on. While waiting for it to boil I spied some chocolate covered strawberries leftover from Mother's Day and since my tooth is apparently already on it's last leg I added some candy into the mix. What harm could a little more sugar do at this point?
No harm at all apparently, for by the time I'd devoured the plated sweetness (and seconds!) things didn't seem quite so disastrous. I was, in fact, rather enjoying my respite and so sought to extend it with a bit of handwork and a few pages featuring Gladys Taber's Stillmeadow adventures. (Click here for Susan Branch's wonderful description of her!)
Oh how I love a good pity party!!!
Tsk! I have 3. All in 1 1/2 years...my dentist said this is normal for my age...so it made me feel better! love, andrea
