A little bit of dress up fun is always entertaining!
It was decided that we would create a display area at the show where an assortment of dolls and their wardrobes could be featured and I was lucky enough to be asked to oversee the outfitting of Hitty.
What a treat!!!
I couldn't think of a sweeter doll for a sweet person like you to outfit Natalie Jo!! I had better get to this show to see what you have done. Can you give a sneak peek of a dolly dressed? I spy a lovely fur lined cape in the pic---oooooh how fun! Best of luck! ~Suzanne
ReplyDeleteOh yes I'll be sure to give more than just a sneak peek in fact! I'm verys lowly working out a way to display everything and debating if I'll have enough time to finally finish up that Gail Wilson Hitty kit I started oh so long ago. If I did I'd have 2 dolls to dress instead of just one...double the fun!!!

ReplyDeleteI have been over-seeing Mary Not-Quite-Hitty's creation of a similar apron to the one in your photo. She has been creating a kitchen set for her cousin, Roberta.
These little dolls are such fun and I can't think of a better one for you to work with for the show.....so wish we could be there. (Try to take a few photos, if you are not rushed off your feet making sales al day)

Aprons are one of my favorite things to make for Hitty, well and capes too. I think it's because I can be pretty certain they will fit most dolls. Dresses I find to be a but more challenging for every Hitty creator seems to produce a very unique body shape and not all fitted items are interchangeable. Would love to see Roberta's kitchen set one day...let me know!
