A Little Bit of a Surprise

I can't imagine how the snowdrifts surrounding our mailbox were maneuvered but look what was delivered into it today. A quick sneak peak revealed some exciting articles with links to Little Women, The House of Seven Gables, and Ralph Waldo Emerson.

And then, as a little extra added bonus, there was this!

Look a bit closer down in the right hand corner.

See the Hitty sized bed and the two tiny raggedies?
Now look between them...
do you see what I see?

I do believe it's a petite patchwork pillow made by me!!!
Something like this here perhaps.
What fun!

    1. You would love these magazines! Such a wide range of dolls are featured in each issue that there is always something of interest to be found.

  2. Congratulations! A few years back-Nancy Lazenby did a book about Lenci dolls and they had a few pages in Doll News-one was holding a tiny Raggedy Ann and Andy I had made and sold to her- no credit to me. Boo Hoo! I was happy for the picture, but a mention would have been nice! Happy to you anyway! Very cute! :o) Cheryl

    2. I looked up the book and it was published in 2007- so if you have copies that old I'd look at that year. I can't believe I didn't save the pictures from Doll News. I had made a Raggedy Ann & Andy, as well as Beloved Belindy- rather proud of them.I am going to get a book copy on ebay so I have them. What a bird brain! Keep warm in all that snow! :0) Cheryl

    3. Yes, you must have a book copy for yourself!!! My issues don't go back that far but I'm going to ask around at doll group and see if anyone has the magazines from that year for me to borrow. They will be especially interested to have a peak at your creations as well since the official doll of our group just so happens to be Raggedy Ann!
