Made a Mistake...maybe...maybe not...i don't know...i can't decide...maybe I should just go to bed...

All because of this. I've so enjoyed working on the clear expanse of the dining room table I wanted to create a similar situation for myself up in the sewing nook. And since the topsy turviness of the bedroom project has begun to feel almost normal, I figured why not toss a "Neaten the Nook" project into the mix as well? Why not indeed!

First things first, I emptied the bookshelf of everything, even the family of dust bunnies housed beneath it. It was easy enough to then find a clear spot upon which to situate a work mat. The next steps were taken with the guideline of "form follows function" in mind.

Therefore, rather then restocking the shelves with oodles of seldom browsed books I thought to use them as keep often used supplies handy.

Technically, it seems as if it will function quite smoothly but it's form? Awkward and not very inviting. Or at least that's how it felt to me about halfway through and so I stopped and do believe I shall now head off to bed! Perhaps things will look better in the sunshine...or maybe not!!!

  1. This wouldn't work for me as when I cut out projects I like to do a lot at one time...sitting down. I've changed my room around so many times and I always end back to where I started...oh well:)

  3. a nice patchwork curtain would be good over the supply bookcase
like your pantry one. A stash user and lastly,
a memory of past projects materials being used.
    Just an idea.
